About Us

About Kappa Delta

In 1897, four young women at State Female Normal School of Virginia (now Longwood University) joined together with a common vision — to create something “higher and nobler,” an organization that would empower women through friendship and high ideals. Over 125 years later, the sorority continues to live the dream of its founders by providing a lifelong experience for our members through support and sisterhood.

The Kappa Delta experience offers members the chance to leave their mark on the future and impact the lives of members and those in need around the world. Contributions to the Kappa Delta Foundation from alumnae, collegians and friends enable the sorority to further its philanthropic efforts, local community outreach programs, as well as scholarships and educational opportunities for members.

We have chosen to become Kappa Deltas because we believe that, in some way, all of us can be better together than each of us can be alone. That is the strength of Kappa Delta. Learn more about Kappa Delta Sorority and the Kappa Delta Foundation by visiting our national organization’s website.

About Epsilon Tau

Welcome to the Epsilon Tau chapter at Clemson University! Founded in 1980, our chapter has proudly contributed to the Clemson community for over four decades. Epsilon Tau is a genuine and supportive sisterhood where members are encouraged to grow into confident leaders, loyal friends, and engaged citizens — all while staying true to themselves. At Clemson, our sisters are active across campus — involved in student leadership, academic honor societies, service organizations, and more. We take pride in supporting one another and making the most of every opportunity college life offers. Service and philanthropy are central to who we are. Each year, we host Shamrock Week, our largest philanthropic effort, benefiting Prevent Child Abuse America and The Parenting Place of Easley. The week features our Shamrock’n Run 5K, which brings together the campus and local community to raise funds and awareness for child abuse prevention. We also organize a silent auction, where local businesses and families contribute items, and all proceeds go directly to our beneficiaries. Whether it’s giving back, supporting sisters, or celebrating Clemson traditions together, Epsilon Tau is more than a sorority — it’s a lifelong home. We are proud of our impact on campus and in the community, and we look forward to continuing that legacy for years to come.
